Hi I haven't been using this itch account for a while, but it's really important for me and my partner to share the latest game we've been working on with the most people possible. It's a cute retro metroidvania called Stardust Demon.

If you like Mibibli's Quest... Stardust Demon is the closest to a "spiritual successor" that I've worked on yet. There's differences for sure; Stardust is more metroidvania than megaman, and the art style is more polished. But there will be big similarities, with it being a game that mostly plays like a traditional action platformer where you collect new powers but there's also fun surreal twists and turns, nice vibes and weirdness, a main character that's a cute little creature, etc.

If you followed me here but don't know about my more recent work with my partner, here's a a little explanation to catch you up: together we've made some commercial games and released them as "resnijars": Salad Fields, Sparkles & Gems, and Manglepaw. They are overall more on the experimental side, the people who have played them love them but they don't reach a big audience and haven't made us the most money. What we are really hoping for with Stardust Demon is that it will make enough money that we can finally both do this full time together. That's why it's important to wishlist and help us build the game's momentum.
